Centenary Bank

The Bank started operations in 1983 as Centenary Rural Development Trust and was later joined by the Catholic Church to establish a formal financial institution. Today we are a leading Commercial Microfinance Bank in Uganda with an asset base of over Ugx 4 trillion; 2,300,000 customers which is a quarter of the banking population. Our services can be accessed across 80 branches, 191 Visa ATMs, 5,200 agents, Online Platform and the CenteMobile platform.

Our Vision is to be the best provider of Financial Services, especially Microfinance.

Our Mission Statement is to provide appropriate financial services especially Micro finance to all people, particularly in rural areas, in a sustainable manner and in accordance with the law’’.

Our focus is on the provision of microfinance services, but have diversified into four other segments; corporate, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Retail and High net worth.

We are keen on sustainability of the communities we serve, so we support in three major areas which are Education, Health, and The Social Mission of the Church.

In July 2020, Centenary Bank transitioned to Centenary Group. The Group is a public limited liability company comprising of a non-operating holding company and several subsidiaries.
