Ufuoma is the pioneer country manager of Oikocredit Nigeria and is currently responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of Oikocredit Nigeria and Ghana, its goals, and objectives. She drives the growth and impact strategies in the two countries. She is a thought leader in impact financing, development finance, financial inclusion, and microfinance in West Africa. Ufuoma has been engaged in impact financing for over 22 years, creating access to financial services for low-income households, quality education for youths, jobs, and businesses for MSMEs and smallholder farmers. Her activities significantly impact the lives of those at the bottom of the pyramid through the provision of debt financing to partners in the Microfinance sector, SME banks and Agri enterprises.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Ufuoma worked at Intercontinental Bank (now Access bank) and Oceanic Bank (now Ecobank) gaining expertise in corporate banking, retail banking, telecommunications and Agri finance etc She holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from University of Ilorin, a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan and MBA from Ambrose Alli University. She has attended several courses both locally and internationally at renowned institutions including Lagos Business School, Boulder Institute of Microfinance (Italy), Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (Germany) gaining expertise in leadership, microfinance, SME finance, Risk Management, Climate and Renewable Energy Finance as well as Climate adaptation finance.

Board Role Ufuoma is a strategic thinker with sound knowledge of organisational architecture. Her boardroom engagement includes serving on the board of Oikocredit Nigeria Limited and an active member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria
