Shina Atilola is a Consummate Strategist and Business Development expert with over 24 years’ experience in banking industry, covering Business Strategy, Marketing Communication, Branding, Auditing, Mergers & Acquisition and Sales for top financial institutions. He is a strategic and growth-focused executive with proven record of accomplishment, leading teams responsible for designing innovative strategies, identifying emerging opportunities, executing value-creating transactions, structuring productive relationships, launching new products, maximizing profits, and building successful businesses and partnerships. Shina is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and thrives in challenging and fast-paced environments. He started his banking career in Ecobank, moved on to work with legacy institutions that formed Heritage Bank, thereafter, progressed to First bank and Sterling Bank. He led both the initiation and execution of Sterling bank’s tripod stand for strategy, namely Digitization, Specialization and Agility. This resulted into various digital platforms such as SPECTA, DOUBBLE, SWITCH, and focus sectors – Health, Education, Agriculture, Renewable Energy and Tourism (‘HEART’ of Sterling). He successfully incubated and launched Sterling’s Micro & Agency Banking. Shina is currently the Executive Director of Digital and Transaction banking at PremiumTrust Bank, He also covers Strategy, Brands and Marketing Communications. He won the General Joe Garba’s (RTD) prize for overall best graduating student.

He is a first-class graduate of International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University Ife, where he also bagged his MBA (master’s in business administration). He is an associate member of both UK and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, an Honorary member of CIBN and a member of Lagos Business School Alumni Governing Council. He is an alumnus of INSEAD Business School, Maastricht School of Management and Wharton Business School amongst others. In 2017, he was recognized as one of the Top Hundred (100) Most Impactful CSR Leaders globally, and in 2015, Top Ten (10) in Africa. He loves to read and play Lawn Tennis.
