Kennedy Mubita

Kennedy is a Member of SC Ventures, a business unit of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Group that serves as a platform & catalyst to promote innovation, invest in disruptive financial technology & explore alternative business models.

As the Africa Lead his role is to originate, source & motivate new technology related investments and Ventures in the region. He also manages the eXellerator lab that incubates tech ideation, working closely with internal stakeholders, clients & the Fintech community applying a technology driven mindset & human centred design (HCD) methodology to industry problems.

A Managing Director at Standard Chartered, he was previously the Head of Transaction Banking for Kenya & East Africa region. Prior to that he covered Ghana & West Africa in the same capacity. Before joining SCB, he worked in various senior leadership roles at Citibank. Kennedy is a UK Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) & holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business issued by the Emeritus Institute of Singapore in collaboration with MIT Sloan & Columbia Business School.
