Ben Janse van Rensburg

A member of the Executive Team and the Interim Chief Information Officer at BankservAfrica, Ben has over 20 years of real-time payments experience. He has been part of numerous industry projects, including the development and management of the South African Real-Time Clearing Service, as the Technical Lead and Designer of South Africa’s first real-time, low cost payments service, PayShap. Ben has an entrepreneurial spirit and holds a strong interest for change from the desire and ability to learn. He also has a high tolerance for managing complex and uncertain situations. Ben has extensive management experience, including organisational, in his leadership roles at BankservAfrica. Ben undertakes extensive industry engagements with banking clients, both in the technical and business capacities.
